The Solar Panel
Material classification:
At present, crystalline silicon (including polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon) is the main photovoltaic material, its market share is more than 90% , and it will be the mainstream material of solar cell for a long time. The production technology of polysilicon material has been controlled by 10 factories of 7 companies in 3 countries, such as America, Japan and Germany, which forms the situation of technology blockade and market monopoly. The demand for polysilicon comes mainly from semiconductors and solar cells. According to the purity requirements, divided into electronic grade and solar grade. Of these, about 55% are for electronic grade polysilicon and 45% are for solar grade polysilicon.
With the rapid development of the photovoltaic industry, the demand for polysilicon for solar cells is growing faster than for semiconductor polysilicon, demand for solar polysilicon is expected to surpass demand for electronic grade polysilicon by 2008.
In 1994, the world’s total output of solar cells was only 69 MW.
In 2004, it was close to 1,200 MW, a 17 fold increase in just 10 years.
CRYSTALLINE SILICON PANELS: polycrystalline silicon solar cells, single crystal silicon solar cells. Amorphous silicon panels: thin film solar cells, organic solar cells. Chemical Dye pack: Dye-sensitized Solar Cell.
